Late August Medal - 28th / 29th
This was the final medal of the season and the last chance to qualify for the Thompson Salver, (winners of each division and best gross), and the Walter Priestley Handicap Final, (based on handicap reductions). Holes-in-one were like buses this week - there's been a long wait and then three come along at once - yes there were three and Darren Jennings had two of those at the 9th and 14th. The 14th was also a lucky hole for Paul Hardcastle who had the other ace. Not surprisingly Darren won Division One comfortably, whilst Liam Austwick won Division Two after a countback. David Swales forgot to sign his card!
