September Stableford - 19th / 20th
Another small field of 29 this weekend with the pins in some tricky positions - thanks Peter!
A case of "After you Claude."; "No, after you Cecil" in Division One - (I really am as old as I look), with just 10 entrants and no-one desperate to win. Simon Bottomley eventually being declared the winner despite not getting his stableford points correct - no doubt it was Alex's fault. As has been mentioned before, the golfer's responsibility is purely to get his gross score correct on every hole - apparently you can even get away with not entering any stableford points or not adding up your total score, (medal, stableford or bogey). However, sanctions may be applied to any lazy devils who try that on!
Charles Tolley wasn't just smiling because he was beating his father and his son, but because he was on his way to an excellent score to win Division Two. Samuel Hardcastle was runner-up with another very good score of 42 points. Poor Peter Cartwright doesn't win a prize and his two's were on the wrong holes, but he does get pulled. (No mischievous grin here, Peter - honest).
Finally, congratulations to John Lynch who finished an otherwise mediocre round with a hole-in-one on the 18th!
Thanks to the human computer that is Richard Badrock for working out the competition scratch score and handicap adjustments.
Competition Scratch Score is 50

Twos Club
Only 12 twos this time, with just two at the counting holes, and only one of them entered the club, so he scoops the whole pot. If its any consolation to Peter Cartwright there were two others who had 2 twos at the wrong holes.
