A few people have been asking for an update on the Thompson Gold Prize money list.
I had updated the web pages in July, but not publicised them and I had forgotten to update the sheet in the club house.
Everything will be up-to-date by the end of the week.
There are 4 events still to go, but as usual Richard Badrock is the man to beat in the Tigers list, but Damian Lynch and our Captain, Lyndon Barraclough are not too far behind.
In the Rabbits section, it is much closer with the top three Mel Wood, Ian Haley and Russell Harrison being quite close.
The Challenge is on Sunday 14th October - please keep it free if you can!
This is the club’s oldest surviving competition for which a trophy has always been presented, dating back to 1947. The winner is the member with the best nett score over 36 holes - this year both rounds will be on the Saturday which is a change to the published programme.
There are sessions at 8am and 11am, and then the field will be whittled down to the best 18 who will go out for the final round at 4pm.
Non-competitors are welcome to come down and have a drink and watch. Barbecued food will be available during the day.
Please contact our Captain Lyndon Barraclough on 07551 639447 for more details.
Our Vice-Captain, Matthew Spink is organising an invitation day this year. It's just £20 per pair to enter and there will be some great prizes on the day. There are 3 sessions and at the moment there are spaces at various times. You are welcome to bring just 1 as one pair, or 3 guests as two pairs.
Please contact Matthew on 07772 409416 for more details.
